If we understand that the Bible is important and beneficial and true, why do its verses fail to embed themselves in our memory? Or worse yet, why does it slip some of our minds to even read the Bible at all on certain "busy" days?
“What’s wrong with that thought?”, you might argue, “Isn’t it true that we must be led by the Holy Spirit, and not by our own understanding? Aren’t our human minds limited, sinful even? And therefore, shouldn’t we trust in the Holy Spirit all the more and not in our own rationale?“
How do you know if it is the voice of the Lord and not just your mind? Also, how do you know that the voice is of the Lord? And why does it take authority over what is definitely prescribed in the Holy, infallible, inerrant Bible ?
The paralyzing sight of the Lord's Holiness and Glory that makes the brightest star in the universe look like a faded indicator light at the end of its life. Brothers and sisters, have we seen our God in that manner?
